Position summary:

  • Conduct in-depth literature searches and prepare comprehensive reviews.
  • Prepare all regulatory and study-related documents for submission to REB following UNB policies.
  • Liaise with research sponsors, funding agencies and various other community organizations to ensure all necessary information is in place.
  • Design data-collection worksheets for capturing study-specific data and perform basic statistical analysis and data interpretations.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of community programs.
  • Manage finances, keep track of the available balances and reporting the expenses.
  • Preparing correspondence, coordinate meetings and provide other executive support to the Department.
  • Support course development and delivery by doing background research of the available study material.
  • General HR duties, such as submitting staff change forms and collecting other documents.
  • Requirements/Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in community health, public health or related. Graduate degree is desirable.
  • 2 years' experience working with Indigenous health research, knowledge, skills, and experience in preparing grant applications and in conducting systematic literature reviews.
  • Possess analytical and critical thinking, collaboration, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems, often under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate ways to engage with Indigenous communities on health and research initiatives.
