Job Overview

Within the Emergency Care Division of Stryker Medical, we have a rich history as the world’s leader in the development, manufacture, sale and service of external defibrillator/monitors, AEDs and emergency medical response products and services. 

Stryker's LIFEPAK defibrillator/monitors, AEDs, CPR products, Evacuation Chairs, accessories, disposables and AED Program Management services are sold in Canada through both direct and indirect distribution channels. The Commercial Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for all sales of Stryker products into the Public Access and Alternate Care customer segments within their assigned geographic territory. Additionally, the CAM is responsible for developing and supporting assigned distribution partners (regional or national) to ensure that sales quotas, growth, market share, and compliance objectives are achieved. 

Conducting business reviews with distribution partners, training distribution partner sales reps, supporting Emergency Care and PRT sales efforts that include Public Access, collecting monthly tracing reports from distributors, ensuring distributor compliance, prospecting and closing new customers within the territory, supporting existing Stryker AED customers within the territory, and supporting assigned and unassigned distributor sales efforts within the territory are critical responsibilities.


  • Develop and execute on sales/business plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales/business objectives
  • Provide accurate and timely reports/forecasts via CRM system
  • Implement sales/marketing tactics and programs in order to meet or exceed assigned territory objectives
  • Manage and develop sales funnel within assigned customer market segments and geographic territory
  • Strategically network the executive (C-level) to identify new prospects
  • Proactively identify and strategize ways to accelerate new business development
  • Develop internal relationships with all functional areas within Stryker Emergency Care
  • Work with cross functional teams as needed to deliver an effective solution for the customer
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Public Access defibrillation industry, including industry trends, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key competitors in our industry
  • Attend trade shows and sales meetings as needed
  • Ensure assigned distributors comply with Stryker Distribution contracts
  • Train distributors sales teams and support distributor sales efforts (assigned and unassigned) within the territory
  • Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel up to 60%.

  • Ability to build a consistent new revenue pipeline
  • Commitment to stay current with industry/sector trends
  • Ability to articulate, define and execute strategies to grow our sales to Enterprise customers
  • Experience with executive level sales
  • Ability to facilitate business reviews with distribution partners
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Exhibit a high degree of ethics and integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop both internal and external long-term customer relationships.
  • Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of successful distributor sales experience or successful selling experience in either capital equipment, medical or commercial B2B environment.
  • Prior experience using or other CRM system a plus
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
