Position Summary

Reporting into the VP of eCommerce, the Director of Amazon eRetail is responsible for contributing to the development of the eCommerce practice within Reprise Canada, acting as a lead consultant to help clients solve their challenges and optimize their retail landscape execution of eCommerce with Amazon.

This newest member of the Reprise Commerce team will be the face of Amazon consulting for the agency with broad and deep capabilities on Amazon Retail (1P) and Amazon Marketplace (3P). The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as a vendor and seller on Amazon and full knowledge of how to successfully operate and accelerate the Amazon flywheel.

You are responsible for interpreting client needs, diagnosing the marketplace and delivering strategic advice to address those needs with a problem-solving mindset. You will be familiar with Amazon eCommerce media and marketing capabilities and how to integrate them within a connected end-to-end Amazon proposition that bridges sales with marketing to enable our clients to accelerate their growth on the platform.

You are a business leader with a growth mindset, capable of consultative solution-selling and new client prospecting. You can inspire teams while also holding them accountable for delivering on daily eCommerce performance goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • In collaboration and support to the VP of eCommerce, accelerating our organization’s eCommerce offering for Amazon eRetail and roadmap for future business growth from a consulting and advisory lens
  • Leading the development of eRetail solutions adapted for the Amazon Retail Channel in Canada, spanning from set-up to retail management to supply chain & operations
  • Owning the strategic end-to-end Amazon approach within relevant New Business pitches; prospecting and converting organic expansion opportunities with key client stakeholders
  • Consulting with senior-level clients on how to solve their challenges, drive business growth and optimize P&L through both long-term and short-term solutions adapted for the Amazon Channel
  • Developing data & analytics, including commerce attribution, and performance reporting by designing and implementing processes with the goal to improve standardization and efficiency of Amazon eRetail solutions and deliverables
  • Connecting online and offline through Amazon eRetail marketing strategies in partnership with Mediabrands’ agencies
  • Partnering with agency leads across paid media, experience and content disciplines to maximize customer flow across every touchpoint
  • Building partnerships and driving innovation with key eCommerce platforms and providers
  • Desired Skills & Experience

  • Post-secondary education – University graduate and/or college degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience leading retail operations with Amazon as a Vendor and full autonomy to operate Amazon Vendor Central. Ideal candidate will have additional experience and ease of operating as a 3rd Party through Amazon Seller Central
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon retail and its services, including development and management of trade budgets, day to day operations and supply chain
  • Knowledge/Ease to leverage industry and partner tools such as Vendor Central, Seller Central, Brand Analytics, Profitero, Pacvue, Clavis, Kenshoo, Criteo, Digital Shelf 360, Salsify among others
  • Passion for eCommerce and crafting stories with a point of view; ability to translate marketing/sales objectives into structured frameworks, build business cases and develop data-led best practices
  • Proactive approach to problem solving complex Amazon eRetail challenges, understanding client-side trade/sales teams and how to meet their needs
  • Client service oriented. Ability to confidently lead client meetings
  • Broad understanding of Amazon Advertising and the importance of well optimized content and customer experiences/journeys
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong learning agility, with a passion for curiosity and continuous development
