About the Position:

The School of Social Work at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for a preliminary (tenure-track) appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2021.

We seek candidates whose research contributes to scholarship on social work in changing urban environments. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work focuses on various urban populations, including, but not limited to, vulnerable children, youth or older adults, people living in poverty, persons with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, Indigenous persons, racialized and Black persons, and LGBTTQI persons. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of post-MSW practice experience. Experience teaching social work courses either at the graduate or undergraduate levels is essential.
