Our healthcare client is currently looking to hire a Telecommunications Administrator or Engineer for a 1 year contract with possibility of extension. We are looking for a demonstrated Telecom Administrator with exposure to various systems and technologies. This individual most also be comfortable with architecture, design, upgrades and support.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, Tier 3 support and maintenance of Telecommunication services, technology and infrastructure such as NetSatisFAXtion, Engage, Avotus, ConnexALL, Phlips Emergin/IEM, Cisco/Avaya/Ascom wireless phones, Avaya CS1000, Mitel, Cisco Call Manager and Avaya Contact Centre, SPOK Smart Suite, Vocera.
  • Create detailed design and deployment documentation from technical architecture designs for communications systems, transmission and signaling systems
  • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and Telecom equipment and infrastructure including UPS and Cooling
  • Resolve complex technical problems related to the telecommunication network, coordinating support teams and vendors where necessary to jointly resolve problems








  • Qualifications and Experience
    Wireless network Tier 3 support: includes coverage testing; devices troubleshooting; controller maintenance
    Exposure to healthcare or hospitals is an asset
    Implement and support complex integrations between the various telecom systems
    Implement and administer ConnexALL, Vocera, SPOK, Emergin, Avaya Call Pilot, Avaya Aura Contact Centre, Mitel
    Administer Vocera: MACs for Groups, Permissions; monitoring updates made by Tiered Admins; troubleshooting speech recognition issues with the database; generating reports; updating access point locations; troubleshooting device issues; system upgrades
    Administer Connexall: troubleshooting OR application issues; updating/creating callpoints; troubleshooting device assignment issues; updating client mappings; creating templates; running reports; configuring desktop clients as needed
    Administer Spok Smart Suite: monitoring database updates; creating new carrier connections; running reports; troubleshooting Smart Console client application issues; troubleshooting CTI connectivity and carrier connectivity issues
    Administer Call Pilot: providing Tier 3 support for issues with voice menus, mailboxes, announcements.
    Administer NetSatisFAXtion: running reports; troubleshooting fax delivery issues upgrades
    Teleminder backend server support and system upgrades

    Education and Certifications

    Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
