The Team Leader forms a viable part of the Integral Group leadership team and is responsible and 
accountable for managing their respective Team. The Team Leader provides leadership, technical support, and management essential to Integral Group for decision-making and team accountability.


Impact | How we move the needle  

  • Provide recommendations and actions to move towards Integral’s 2030 goal of net zero carbon on all projects 
  • Maximize positive impact on society through actions, designs and recommendations on each project 
  • Be knowledgeable of Integral’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) report and initiatives 
  • Communicate all CSER initiatives to team and be responsible for local, team-related, actions 

People | How we make a difference 

  • Ensure staff wellbeing is held paramount throughout all actions of the team 
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and provide the Group Leader and the People department with feedback on staff performance and any employment issues 
  • Meet regularly (at least twice a month) with all team members in a direct 1-on-1 format to ensure goals are tracked, issues are identified, and action plans are in place 
  • Keep track of team vacation time and schedules 
  • Recommend and be in action for on-going training and development of team members  
  • Provide management of team staff; within this, upholding company policy, suggestions and recommendations to Group Leader of necessary changes, and directing the implementation of changes 
  • Utilize leadership skills to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction 

Financial | How we thrive 

  • Provide workload forecasting as projects are secured, additional fees are enrolled and provide progress analysis regarding prospective unsecured projects  
  • Update Integral accounting system information for effective use in tracking of projects for financial, marketing and workload purposes 
  • Be responsible for distribution of work based on staff availability as established by the team workload requirements 
  • Initiate and update plans in Deltek for each project within the team 
  • Monitor and be responsible for the financial performance of all projects within the team, including; Estimated Time to Complete (ETC), project multiplier, Work in Progress (WIP) and backlog.  
  • Review and approve time-sheets of team members 
  • Ensure team member utilization targets are met 

Marketing | How we connect 

  • Lead and be responsible, with assistance from the marketing team, for the development and effective issuance of proposals 
  • Represent Integral Group at meetings with clients and other project stakeholders  
  • Attend, as a representative of the company, related association meetings and trade shows relevant to company’s interests, as required 

Technical | How we do it 

  • Train staff in all phases of project process to ensure continuation of effective project delivery when absent from the office or when staff is on vacation 
  • Champion and be responsible for ensuring Integral’s Organization Quality Management (OQM) program is adhered to through each stage of the project 
  • Instill the concept of quality being the responsibility of every team member 
  • Actively solicit feedback from clients with regards to satisfaction and areas of improvement  
  • Implement programs to improve the quality of our service, products and systems to meet client's requirements and to maximize the company's competitive position 
  • Promote quality issues with all members and in particular ensure that the quality control function is effectively performed 
  • Conduct reviews to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions required to remedy deviations impairing desired standards 


  • Minimum 10 years of building systems experience
  • Member APEGA and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Communication and coaching skills
  • Project management experience
  • Proven leadership abilities
