We’re looking for a Unit Manager to join our growing team!

As a Unit Manager reporting to the Product and Process Excellence team Manager, you will oversee the Business Analysis (BA) team which supports the strategic projects for all Specialty Solutions lines of business, their professional development and operational efficiency. You will be responsible to develop and coach up to 12 direct reports.

  • Encourage and support the career development of the team by identifying training and mentorship opportunities, including Agile, requirements gathering and analysis, business processes and best practices
  • Implements continuous improvement processes and practices ensuring the most efficient and effective use of analysis tools, resources and processes
  • Maintains team's capacity plan in a proactive and efficient manner and continuously seeks solutions to achieve objectives, meet priorities and support organization’s roadmap
  • Collaborate and build partnerships with stakeholders including individuals in Corporate UW, Actuarial, Distribution, Sales & Business Development and Ops & Planning/IT
  • May be asked to lead, define, negotiate, communicate and monitor an assigned project and work closely with other business stakeholders to propose solutions and meet department needs and objectives
  • Work closely with manager to assess and prioritise new requests 

  • Your Skills
  • You have a minimum of 1 to 3 years Management or 3+ years Lead/Senior BA experience
  • Strong people leadership skills including the ability to engage, motivate, and coach staff 
  • Strong teamwork, communication and relationship building skills, demonstrated experience managing internal and external clients
  • You have strong business, strategic and financial acumen and understand how pieces fit together
  • You forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and can work with all levels from individual contributor to executive, and from different areas of the business
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable giving presentations to employees and to executives alike
  • You are experienced in operational change management, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware and prepared for upcoming changes
  • Strong knowledge of Business Analysis best practices
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and perform well under stress
  • Nice-to-Have:

  • You have proven familiarity with Intact’s Specialty Solutions lines of business is an asset
  • Commercial P&C and Commercial Auto Underwriting experience is an asset
  • PMP, CAPM, CBAP and/or CCBA certifications are an asset
  • Familiarity with Project Management is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodology an asset
