Use your technical knowledge and excellent communication skills in Red Hat to build trusted relationships and provide technical account management for our customers. The Red Hat North America (NA) Telco team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will help us grow new business with some of Red Hat’s most strategic accounts covering Canada’s top mobile service provider and multiple-system operators (MSOs) customers. You’ll help our team create solutions and advocate compelling recommendations to customers. You will guide them to adopt our innovative open source technology. To achieve this, you’ll need passion for open source, an understanding how to apply Red Hat solutions to solve customer challenges, and the ability to develop solid customer relationships. As a Solutions Architect, you will specialize in architecting Red Hat’s open source technology in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. 

Primary job responsibilities

  • Educate customers on the capabilities of the Red Hat solutions portfolio and conduct live demonstrations of the solutions
  • Build trusted relationships with customers’ technical staff and leadership
  • Identify opportunities; sell the value of Red Hat solutions
  • Deliver customer demos and assist with proof of concepts
  • Work with account teams to help architect complex solutions that achieve customer requirements
  • Gain deep understanding of customer environments and use cases
  • Provide overall technical account management

    • Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a sales engineer or solutions architect, or 4+ years in a technical role working in an enterprise environment as part of a development or operations team
  • Solid Linux skills with working knowledge of virtualization and container technology
  • Public, private, and hybrid cloud experience
  • Solid communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline

    • The following will be considered a plus:

  • Telco or cable industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience with emerging technology in areas where Red Hat competes including DevOps, microservices, cloud platforms, software defined storage, container platform and orchestration, and virtualization, including network functions virtualization (NFV)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Open source experience
