Essential Responsibilities Provide technical expertise on integrated systems projects/ MEP activities for customer delivered equipment, demos and tradeshows. As part of the Technical Support team assist in resolving customer system level issues. Assist in the troubleshooting of the MX\CMX product lines, this may include onsite repairs. Collaborate with small teams of Technical Support, Demo Specialists and Technical Trainers in concept of operation design and application execution. Coordinate directly with Sales Directors and their customers to help define integrated systems platform requirements for demonstration purposes. Lead the training of the global Technical Support Specialists and Trainers in proper operation and troubleshooting of integrated system platforms. Assist in the design, development, build and testing of integrated systems for demonstrations with MX family of products. Assist as a subject matter expert (SME) in the development and delivery of customer training. Commission integrated systems platforms for demo/ tradeshow integration on site with customer direction when called upon. Provide technical expertise on the mapping systems to support troubleshooting for system level support. Work closely with the ILS department as a SME for technical publications input and review of documentation for internal/ external use. Conduct customer training classes on the WESCAM MEP systems. Operate, troubleshoot and remedy all MX family of products and corresponding integrated system platforms. Help coordinate equipment/ personnel scheduling and logistics for demos. Support Bids and Proposals process with proposal responses in relation to system specifications. Attend domestic and international tradeshows and customer meetings as a system level SME.
Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering Degree, Engineering Technologist or combination of education and equivalent experience Three to Five years’ experience troubleshooting mission systems, consoles/ mission equipment platforms Three to Five years’ experience with systems integration in an aerospace/ land/ maritime vehicle industry Five to 10 year’s experience in the Maintenance and Repair of WESCAM MX family of products Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical support teams in a sales environment Travel 10-15% of the time
Preferred Additional Skills Advanced MX-Maint user with understanding of embedded software development and configuration principals Experience with operating and troubleshooting MX\CMX family of products Experience in the assembly and/or repair of WESCAM MX\CMX family of Products Experience designing and fabricating equipment consoles for the purpose of collecting/ disseminating mission sensor data. Strong leadership, planning, organizational, analytical, and decision making skills Excellent interpersonal skills while dealing directly with internal and external customers Excellent presentation skills when describing/ explaining MX\CMX family products to peers and customers alike Proficient in all MS-Office Suite software Applied knowledge of reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings Experienced user of test and measurement tools, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc. Works proficiently alone or in group setting. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to work closely with sales staff and customers
