Our client is a very exciting ladieswear brand, based in Toronto. This company is in its infancy, on route to being the ‘next Canadian Brand’. They are seeking an experienced Production Manager to set up systems and procedures, and manage the entire production process.


  • Set up the proper systems and procedures to manage production
  • Work closely with design team and consult on costing before proceeding with sampling
  • Manage fittings– coordinate fittings with all parties involved, attend fittings, maintain and organize fitting records, follow-up on pattern corrections, ensure samples are ready for fittings. Knowledge of fit a plus.
  • Manage sampling process – make sure factory/ sample maker has all necessary materials, patterns, and cut sheets; respond to question; coordinate transportation of materials between sample maker and patternmaker
  • Oversee grading – including standardizing sizing and verifying grading
  • Approve pre-production samples
  • Send weekly WIP reports to the team and ensure everything is on schedule
  • Point person with factory to answer all questions, ensure on schedule and have all necessary materials
  • Responsible for creating, ordering and verifying care labels, main labels, COO labels, hangtags, price tickets, forms, carton markings, stickers, polybag stickers layouts, etc. to ensure compliance
  • Involvement in sourcing raw materials as needed, including creating and issuing PO’s
  • Daily communication with factories, patternmakers, designer, sample maker and suppliers to maintain schedule
  • Oversee and complete QC at Toronto factories
  • Complete and issue all spec sheet and tech packs for factories
  • Review HST/GST/Duty codes and rates to ensure compliance
  • Manage inventory
  • Maintain database of all patterns, markers and raw materials

  • Three or more years of production management experience with local factories
  • Knowledge of fabrics and trim essential
  • Excellent understanding of product development process
  • Knowledge of fit a plus
  • Vehicle preferred
  • Strong excel and Adobe skills
