We currently have an opening for a Commissioning Coordinator to provide support to Team in Toronto.

The mission of the Commissioning Coordinator is to work closely with the Commissioning Manager and provide support as required to the project teams in commissioning projects. CX Coordinators are responsible to assist in development and submission of Method of Procedures (MOPs), Commissioning Reports, Commissioning look ahead/schedules, technical submissions to authorities having jurisdiction and assisting in the client training process through video capture and any coordination of suppliers if required by the project team.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, equipment shop drawings/manuals, building codes and standards, and construction schedules
  • Creation and maintenance of commissioning schedules and look ahead under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Creation of submissions under the direction of CX Manager to Authorities having jurisdiction
  • Develop client presentations and training under the supervision of the CX Manager
  • Ensure commissioning close out documentation is completed by the PM team.
  • Acting as a Laison between other divisions at Modern Niagara during the commissioning stage of projects.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-secondary education in construction management/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of project coordination experience within construction industry would be ideal.
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, particularly field work would be a strong asset.
  • Comfort and ability to work on site.
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project or construction management software is an asset.
  • Attention to detail, strong reading as well as writing skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships with employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sense of urgency and drive to succeed. Must be comfortable working within a deadline driven, fast paced environment.
  • Resourceful, problem-solver that is energetic and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player.
  • A vehicle is required as the successful candidate may be required to drive to various job sites
