Are you a critical thinker with high attention to detail? Are you looking to make a purpose-filled impact in health care? The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking an organized Inventory Analyst who brings strong business analysis, purchasing and inventory experience.
An expert in Excel programs, the Analyst reports to the Manager or designate, updating and maintaining inventory information systems within a computerized environment. Part of the role includes the development, implementation and maintenance of inventory control systems which generates data to provide insight into inventory content, usage and levels. On a daily basis, the Inventory Analyst will review and report inventory activities for various departments across PHSA including requirements. The role will also meet with user departments to assess needs, process purchase requests, and determine source of supply.
What you’ll do
Control inventory content, materials and supplies to ensure appropriate and adequate inventory.
Develop, implement, and maintain stock control systems and procedures; determine and establish revised inventory levels to ensure efficient utilization of supplies.
Work with suppliers to investigate a variety of matters, such as: managing incorrect invoices, pricing problems, outstanding or backordered items and damaged goods; tracing duplicate shipments and organizes invoice adjustments and credit notes with suppliers as required and returning outdated and/or deleted stock to vendors as required.
Plan and coordinate physical inventory checks and cycle counts, and compare actual to recorded inventory levels.
Monitor inventory usage and establish appropriate inventory levels for user departments to minimize stock outs and excess inventory for materials by running reports, analyzing inventory data and investigating variances.
What you bring
Grade 12 and four years of recent, related experience or combination of education, training and experience.
Relatable experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Analysis and Inventory is an asset.
Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
Excellent attention to detail, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Adept at establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors and health care sites.
