Job Description


The Computer Systems Engineering department is seeking a motivated student to work on various department projects and initiatives for the summer of 2021 (01 May 2021 through 31 August 2021).

The Computer Systems Engineering department executes projects of varying size and complexity for customers operating in the nuclear field. The focus for this summer will be to support staff developing, testing, and documenting code in a variety of internal and client-facing projects.

This is a summer position, and all duties will be carried out under close supervision of a Senior Computer Systems Engineer or Technical Lead.

Assigned tasks may include the following:

Develop software and scripts using a variety of programming languages/ toolsets/ environments

Execute software engineering tasks including software requirements specification, software design descriptions, coding, verification, testing, and/or final design/user documentation.

Prepare requirements and develop/augment tools for test/development systems as needed.

Test script development.

Deliver technical presentations.

Manage assigned work effectively, including prioritizing, executing, managing schedule and budget, and reporting, to meet project goals.
