The Business Manager is a client service position responsible for developing and managing relationships with the client and internal cross functional teams as well as distribution partners. To be a successful Business Manager you should excel at building and maintaining relationships, have a curious nature and want your client’s brands to see positive sales growth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to customer presentations, weekly / monthly quarterly reviews, leadership reviews, promotional planning, budgeting, product development, category assessment & review. The Business Manager will have financial accountability to a sales plan that contributes to the overall revenue target for Acosta Canada. We all Win as a team attitude! Light travel can be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain trusting and ethical relationships with client & Acosta associates.
  • Exceed the sales plan by prioritizing and actively pursuing all sales opportunities with customer manager team.
  • Communicate and any change in policy required by the client. Be clear in communicating client philosophies clearly and accurately.
  • Protect and secure all confidential and proprietary information.
  • Work together with the client to develop a business strategy for products within their assigned categories.
  • Present the client with up-to-date market trends and industry information shared from the Acosta Leadership News You Can Use communications.
  • Become an expert; constantly expand product, vendor category and industry knowledge.
  • Develop new and innovative partnerships that will help market you client’s brands/products.
  • Lean in, be present and add value to all calls, presentations, and meetings.
  • Provide insight to all vendors relative to Costco and the generation of sales.
  • Lead with confidence and integrity. Value an open transparent and diverse culture.
  • Understand, evaluate, execute, and manage marketing programs.
  • Ensure the timely resolution of issues involving deliveries, product quality, packaging, billing, etc. Resolve any political conflicts that arise. Proactively provide solutions.
  • Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have at least 1-3 years of client service/client management experience
  • Bilingual in English and French is a strong asset but not required
  • University or College Degree is considered an asset with a strong CPG background
  • The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Could successfully work on numerous projects at the same time and be able to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Experience with ecommerce is important to be successful in this role
  • Confidence & a “can do” attitude
  • Strategic/creative thinking
  • Business savvy is an important attribute that the right candidate must possess.
