Position Summary

We are looking for highly motivated individual to assume the role of Property Field Adjuster. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for attending and handling commercial and personal lines property claims. You will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of property claims with a strong emphasis on identifying subrogation recovery opportunities as well as providing support through task assignments for in-house adjusters.

The territory we are looking for the successful individual to service will be the WEST GTA including Brampton, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Guelph and Kitchener.

What you'll do in the role

  • You will be responsible to attend first party Commercial and Personal lines Property Claims
  • You will investigate, negotiate and settle Property Claims , with emphasis on identifying subrogation opportunities.
  • You have the ability to prioritize workloads and deliver on all your commitments
  • You have proven ability to anticipate customer needs and offer exceptional service beyond the customers’ expectations
  • You thrive on challenges and building strong relationships
  • You bring your passion and enthusiasm to work every day and you go above and beyond to help out when others need it
  • What you'll need

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a Property Claims Representative with preference for Field experience
  • Previous experience in Commercial and Personal lines Property
  • Proven investigation skills and superior negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • You demonstrate willingness for continuous improvement
  • Basic building construction, scoping and estimating knowledge preferred
  • CIP Designation or working towards CIP, post secondary or related industry experience
  • Flexible and willing to travel on short notice to support RSA Catastrophe response plan
