The Job Design and Evaluation Consultant is a specialist in the areas of job analysis, design, and evaluation and will ensure the University’s job evaluation and analysis systems are maintained, consistently administered, and kept current through the consistent application of new interpretations. Specifically, this position will provide guidance and advice on any job design, analysis and evaluation issues to a variety of university stakeholders including Memorial’s leadership group, client departments and other members of the Human Resources team; ensure internal equity across the University by overseeing the consistent application of standards and processes; complete job evaluation ratings for bargaining unit and management/professional positions; participate in position ratings for the senior administrative management group; research best practices and develop recommendations on job evaluation policies, procedures, practices; research, investigate and analyze complex job evaluation issues; ensure continuous quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating indicators and standards for the job evaluation process; and perform other related duties as required.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and have a minimum of five years progressive work experience in human resources with at least two years of this experience in job analysis, job evaluation and/or job and organizational design, within large and complex organizations. The incumbent will have strong interpersonal, analytical, facilitation, leadership, organizational, and communication skills (written & verbal), along with the ability to balance competing interests, initiate change, manage multiple tasks and positively engage the University community. An equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.
