Description:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for performing heavy lifting and assisting with shipping and receiving. This includes loading and unloading orders. As a Forklift Operator you will work closely with our Cross Dock Operator, Shunt Drivers, and other Operational Staff to manage the movement of freight through our cross dock.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Accountable to complete basic shipping and receiving functions.
  • Perform duties for Bison Transport for cross dock (LTL)
  • Updating TMW software system with the dock moves
  • Reloading pallet order going back to the Walmart distribution center.
  • Have a high awareness for safety and willingness for follow safety rules.
  • Logging daily activities and submitting log at the conclusion of each shift
  • Must be able to work independently in an unsupervised environment

    • Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Previous experience working in TMW system would be considered an asset
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with warehouse inventory computer programs and scanners
  • Good problem-solving skills using math
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work independently
  • Hold a valid forklift license (counterbalance, reach -standard steering)
  • A quick learner with the ability to multitask
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment

    • This position is a part-time opportunity, three (3) shifts a week between Monday-Friday, 4:00-9:00 pm and an 8 hour day on Sundays.
