Description:

Altis Recruitment is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist with experience using UltiPro! This role is a work-from-home position on an 11-month contract, with potential to extend. The successful candidate must be comfortable commuting to the main office in Oakville periodically, for equipment pickup and for training purposes.
Roles and Responsibilities

Processing bi-weekly payroll for up to 1,500 union and non-unionized employees

Setting up new hires in the payroll and benefits system, using Ultipro

Processing terminations, changes, discrepancies, absences and vacations, ROE's and more

Maintaining and updating physical and electronic payroll and benefits documents

Responding to employee inquiries and requests relating to payroll and benefits

Implementing new and improved processes if necessary

Preparing and completing remittances

Tracking attendance for all employees

Qualifications and Experience

A completed PCP certification is ideal

Previous experience in a Payroll and Benefits position is required

Previous experience using UltiPro is required

Experience processing Payroll for minimum 1,000 employees (both unionized and non-unionized) is ideal
