THE PLANNING SHOP may not be the only specialist healthcare market research company out there, but we believe we’re the best. We live and breathe brand strategy. What excites us is helping pharmaceutical clients take their brands further than they thought possible.
As a company, we focus purely on pharmaceuticals and healthcare, but our roots lie in consumer marketing. In the highly competitive pharmaceutical industry where it’s every brand for itself, this gives us a unique advantage. It helps us to give clients’ brands the edge over the competition in this challenging arena.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Job Purpose:
To ensure that US fieldwork for local and international, qualitative and quantitative projects is conducted effectively and efficiently, so that data is collected in line with project deadlines. There will be LATAM based projects that may require working in the evening, from home, to cover fieldwork taking place
To take overall responsibility for the smooth-running of all fieldwork, including support for direct reports
To liaise with all Project Leaders and Managers to understand requirements from the project
To ensure that TPS fieldwork operates within the budget set for the project
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for obtaining quotes from agencies, ensuring costs are competitive and monitoring costs as projects progress
Responsible for the recruitment and conduct of the fieldwork agencies, negotiating, obtaining translations for the projects, and finding creative ways to partner with agencies to ensure deadlines are met.
Key Skills and Competencies Needed:
Decision making: In collaboration with the project manager, make decisions on which suppliers to use
Remote Cross-functional working: Daily, frequent contact with other employees & suppliers, by email, telephone and/or face to face
Complexity: Requires a very methodical approach with little scope for creativity – working to the system already running but with scope for improving and developing it
Planning: Mainly autonomous so deadlines are largely self-imposed, within the constraints of the project and the client budget. Workload is planned on a weekly basis. Hours will be 8:30AM-5:00PM unless required to work later to complete any necessary tasks. When managing fieldwork in LATAM, it may be necessary to be available on-line for any queries if there is live fieldwork taking place
We’re looking for you if:
You have experience of the market research environment and fieldwork
Pharmaceutical market research experience desirable but not essential
And at least two years’ experience in fieldwork
