Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (Surrey) - Part Time

CBI Health Group is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our talented Interdisciplinary team at Monarch House division located in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Take a look inside what you'll do each day

  • Work under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist to provide Assistant services to children with developmental disabilities
  • Maintain regular ongoing communication with the pathologist regarding any changes or concerns about a residents status or treatment interventions
  • Assist the recreation team in leading exercise classes
  • Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing appropriate equipment for the clients
  • Maintain the equipment before and after they are used
  • Here's what you'll need to be successful
  • Possess a post-secondary diploma as a SLP Assistant, or have related coursework and experience
  • Be dedicated to providing the highest quality of client care
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to work independently
  • Be comfortable working collaboratively within and interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with residents
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Have a general knowledge of gait aids and wheelchairs
