Job Title - Accountant 2
Job Location - Ontario, CA, 91761 Onsite
Job Start Date - 08 Mar 2021
Job End Date - 30 Jun 2021 - Contract to Hire
Prepares and posts month end closing entries. Prepare prior month reconciling entries and review reversal entries for re-accrual.
Reconciles BANK/AR/AP/PREPAID/ACCRUED EXP GL accounts weekly. Researches and resolves variances within timeline.
Reconciles all assigned GL accounts monthly. Researches and resolves variances within the policy timeline.
Reconciles GL variances monthly.
Reconciles Interco - GSS/DORI/NW/PON/HARVEST/NC
Prepares and uploads bank Positive Pay file daily or as needed.
Maintains company Fixed Asset records.
Responsible for submitting bank deposit daily via desktop depositor.
Performs analysis of Capital Leases-Warehouse Equip and reconcile invoice variable charges to GL
Participates in periodic and annual Financial audits. Works with the VP of finance and auditors to ensure all supporting documents and reconciliations are provided timely.
Responsible for linking new customers to tax codes.
Responsible for timely applications and or renewal of all taxes, licenses, and annual filings.
Responsible for annual 1099 filing.
Responsible for reporting daily banking activities on Daily Activity Report.
Responsible for creating wire templates and scheduling wire transfers.
Responsible for clearing ACH and Positive Pay exceptions.
Responsible for posting miscellaneous cash receipts.
Responsible for updating outstanding check file.
Prepares weekly Flash, KPI, and HC report within the policy timeline.
Assists SVP of Finance with various research & analysis.
Academic, Experience & Technical Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business (Required).
5-7 years’ work experience in Accounting (Required). Foodservice Distribution experience preferred. Supply chain experience is a plus.
Must be service oriented with excellent follow through skills (Required).
Must have previous experience in a fast-paced business environment with a high volume of sales transactions.
Must be detail oriented & analytical and be able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (Required).
