Must participate in quality control, assurance and improvement programs
Should position patients optimally to undergo the examination or treatment, and administer pharmaceuticals related to the procedures as required.
Must monitor patient status and respond to any change in condition, to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Organizes, prioritizes and co-ordinates scheduling of procedures, communicates verbally with appropriate personnel re: procedure types, lab results, equipment failures, policies and procedures.
Must operate under the most current Ministry of Health guidelines in regards to radiation safety.
Must follow the “As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA)” principle, applying their knowledge of radiation effects and risks to minimize dose to their patients, other healthcare colleagues and the public.
Should educate the patient, provider and public on the benefits and risks of imaging and therapy through different means and situations.

Registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario(CMRITO).
CPR or BCLS certification mandatory.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), and organization skills.
Must possess effective communication between colleagues, patients and their families, to assist in providing safe, effective and ethical outcomes for our patients and their families.
Must adhere to the standards of practice and code ethics outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario

Completion of cross sectional anatomy course an asset.
Ability to work all shifts.

HOURS : All shifts Monday to Sunday inclusive (days, evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays) as per operational needs.
