Business Analyst - Bilingual English/Spanish – Job Description

• The Financial Crimes Risk Management Technology is part of the Technology arm of the bank and implements and managers all solutions for Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing.
• Project: Supporting Transaction Monitoring and AML related projects for International Banking - acquiring transactional data in the LATAM countries - discuss and influence the countries on project plans, presentations and anything that is required from the project.
• Selected candidate will have exposure to LATAM business markets, exposure to array of Scotiabank teams in Toronto and abroad. Be part of managing different technologies in a growing industry in AML and Anti-Terrorist financing. Dynamic environment using relevant technologies.
• Coordinate all technical aspects of production support / project normalization
• Coordinate and help plan technology projects
• Track/Report on technical project and BAU activities
• Serve as a bridge between technology and business
• Direct and help resolve any technical issues that arise

Business Analyst - Bilingual English/Spanish – Mandatory Skills

• Fluent in Spanish and English – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5-7 Years of Experience – Business Analyst with Technology background with Data Knowledge in a Financial Industry.
• 5-7 Years – Understanding of Technology - SDLC
• 5-7 Years – Data Management Experience – Analysis of Data/Data Flows/Data Mapping related to transactional business.
• Proactive Attitude

• Organizational skills
• Bachelor’s in technology, engineering, finance or a related field / relevant experience

Business Analyst - Bilingual English/Spanish – Nice to Have Skills

• JIRA/Confluence
• SQL - can understand JIRA tickets, read the technical problem - highly preferred
