Community Health Worker– PAID Education and Employment

Do you have a background in Customer Service, Hospitality, Retail, Childcare or have cared for a sick family member? Now is the PERFECT time to train as a Community Health Worker

Bayshore provides you with:
• 3 weeks of paid training in house training
• 110 hours of paid hands on job experience (with a qualified peer mentor)

You will learn to provide great client care including:

• Helping clients maintain independence in their home by supporting their personal and emotional wellbeing.
• Providing compassionate personal care including skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care and eating.
• Helping clients with comfortable positioning, lifts, transfers and light exercising like assisted walking
• Leading caring and meaningful conversations and activities focus on the client emotional health and happiness.
• Assist with general household management including light housekeeping duties and meal planning/preparation
• Use the most up to date Infection Prevention and Control Practice (IPAC) and protective equipment to keep you and your client safe at all times.
• How to be the difference for those in your community that need your help
