Your Job

We’re looking for four Unit Managers to join our growing Personal Lines Conversion Team!

Work location: Calgary, Edmonton, London, Mississauga, Toronto or Ajax

As a Unit Manager for the Conversion Team, you will provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and support for a team that will be responsible for the conversion of the Intact portfolio onto our new Personal Lines system.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:

  • Provide regular feedback to direct reports on performance and competencies to ensure strong development of employees
  • Identify and develop talent within their direct reports and effectively manage performance and resources
  • Maintain a quality focus and proactively manage workflows and resources within the conversion team to ensure profitability and service standards
  • Analyze various metrics and reports and make recommendations to improve the efficiency of the team
  • Ensure service levels are maintained and the regional team is supported as needed
  • May assist with recruiting activities as needed

  • Your Skills
  • University degree or College Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Completion of or progress toward the CIP designation
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Minimum of three to five years of personal lines underwriting experience
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong emphasis on motivating employees
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent analytical abilities with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
