Summary of DutiesAs their primary responsibility, the individual will work as application/system administrator of a mission critical corporate application. As a member of the production support team, he/she will participate in the maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation and configuration of the system to support business requirements and user needs, along with supporting 24x7 system operations. Support may also be provided to other applications.This position requires contact with clinical analysts, developers, system administrators, technical services, end-users, trainers, managers, solution specialists and other IS staff.Reporting to the Project Director SunnyCare, the successful applicant will be required to perform the following functions:Support of system for software, hardware and server infrastructure Perform application and system administrative and management tasks associated with all application environments including development, test, train, and productionEnsure application availability – ensure uptime and SLA’s are in order, including preventative maintenanceMaintain application performance, solve problems by correlating infrastructure and application metrics. Use analytics to define and monitor baselines and focus on troubleshootingLifecycle administration including installation, documentation, configuration, upgrades, patches and maintenanceReview system and application code quality does not degrade performanceDocumentation and maintenance of application/technical/system specificationsProvide expert advice and feedback on architecture, development, testing plans and scripts for workflows, configuration, interfaces, etc., for quality assurance and continuous improvementDefine overall application and system standards including configuration, naming standards, management, change management, end user communication, reports and application configurationProvide expert level support in application and system configuration, tools on front end, backend, security and workflowsIdentification and comprehension of database logic to support workflow requirements and guide development as requiredSupport the development of application, reports & extractsWork with business owner, customers, vendors and the core team to troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues and implement change requestsSupport of system servers (remote) and coordination of upgrades and patches with Technical Services and Vendor as neededMonitoring system/user performance and identifying technical opportunities to improve efficiencies Production support Provide Tier 3 application and system support with limited supervisionDevelop and maintain documentation of technical/system, configuration, and support calls using industry best practice and standardsTroubleshooting application and system related issues from end-users, ancillary applications, and other departments as requiredAssist in the development and documentation of department processes, technical and database standards Qualifications/Skills Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Technology-related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 4-6 years of related experienceFamiliarity with design principles of robust, secure, HA and high-performing server side architectureFamiliarity with Microsoft Windows platformsKnowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wireless)Ability to correlate incident trends into problem management and execute permanent fixesDemonstrated experience using an ITIL based ticketing systemsDemonstrated Root Cause Correct Action analysis and report generationExcellent organizational and planning skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent client relations skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Self-starter with an ability to work independently
