AECOM is currently seeking an Instrumentation / Instrument Foreman to join our SUNCOR Firebag project team for the 2021 Spring Turnaround Season near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a Temporary position on a 6/1 shift rotation unless otherwise specified.
Start Dates: Early-March, 2021
Approximate duration: Temporary
Location: 120 km northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Travel: Charter flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton.
Accommodation: Camp accommodation will be provided to all workers
CLAC Union agreement in place; with competitive rates
Instrumentation Foreman will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks: Direct craft workers assigned to area of responsibly, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with engineered drawings, specifications and standards
Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.
Complete craft time cards to accurately reflect hours worked.
Liaise with other craft FM , coordinators and operations
Ability to manage 8-10 craft and 4-5 concurrent work fronts
Participate and provide input during risk assessments and HAZOPs
Advise senior level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interference's, schedule difficulties, etc. assist in troubleshooting and resolving such problems as required.
Perform additional assignments as per supervisors( coordinators) direction
Responsible for producing and auditing safe work permits
Manage work lists in SAP
Participate and have input in schedule creation and updating
Facilitate tool box talks and participate in safety meetings
Instrumentation / Instrument Foreman will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks/requirements:
Distributed control system (DCS) and Asset Management Solutions (AMS) skills
Ability to use DCS to troubleshoot field issues
Commission devices on systems
Valve link experience
Experience with emissions regulatory requirement (CEMS)
Work with nuclear device and understanding regulatory requirement
Working knowledge of SAP
