Job DescriptionSeasonal Class 1 Delivery Driver The Role:The Class 1 Delivery Driver contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by delivering product to stores within an established route or via dispatch to regular customers, including convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets and drug stores. What you’ll be doing: Providing accurate and timely product deliveries to scheduled customers, unloading product to the assigned area as directed by the customerStocking and rotating product on various store shelves and displays, coolers and vending machines, merchandising all accounts to standardEstablishing and maintaining positive working relationships with the primary contacts at each account, acting as a PepsiCo representativeGenerating invoices and maintaining responsibility for daily settlement of cash and chargesBuilding displays and setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs and bannersCompleting all necessary paperwork fully and accuratelyPerforming all assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner, while in compliance with all laws and transportation regulationsQualifications/RequirementsWho’s a good fit for the team:You have your High School Diploma or equivalent GEDYou must have a valid Class 1 drivers license in good standing with a safe driving record or must acquire Class 1 license within 30 days of hire date Your ability to drive manual transmission is an assetYou must be self-motivated and can work under minimal supervisionYou have a neat appearance and strong customer service skills requiredYour previous Class 1 driving experience is an assetYour flexibility to work extended hours and overtime as required is preferred Physical demands and working conditions:You can lift/carry 45-50lbs frequently for up to 8 – 10 hours a dayYou can push/pull 50-250lbsYou have the physical ability to maneuver loaded hand carts over a variety of inclines and surfacesYou can perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and squattingYou can perform frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level, and from the floorYou will be exposed to a variety of weather and temperature ranges, and you will safely operate the equipment during poor road and driving conditions What you can expect from us:Competitive compensationA flexible working environment that promotes a healthy work-life balanceA dynamic and inclusive culture that promotes you to bring your whole-self to workA supportive team that will encourage your professional growth and development An opportunity to be meaningful and impactful within your workAt PepsiCo Canada, our priority remains the health, safety and wellbeing of all our associates.
