This position will report to the Machine Shop Foreman. We are looking for like-minded people who will support our culture. If you fit the bill, please read on... Your primary responsibilities:Set up and operation of a 800 ton CNC brake press and 10ft. CNC rollsWorking with steel 3/16” to 2 1⁄2 “ thickness in the press brake and 1⁄4” to 2” in the rollsAdhere to quality control standards and proceduresRead blue prints and schematicsMaterial handling and complete documentationPerform basic machine maintenance proceduresSafety conscious with full participation in the safety program and all safety requirementsPerform other duties as needed Your qualifications:Completion of high school 2+ years related experience in the machining industrySpecific experience in a heavy steel fabrication/machining/assembly environment is considered desirableCrane & Rigging and Forklift Certificates are assets What you bring to the position:Communication skills to read, write, listen, and speak in a clear and concise manner to individuals at various levels Interpersonal skills work collaboratively and cooperatively with othersTime management skills to productively complete work and meet all expected deadlines Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate his or her work in a logical mannerAnalytical skills to identify problems and find a solution, or seek advice from the supervisorProblem solving skills to methodically and logically work through problems Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination skillsPhysically fit to lift items weighing up to 35 kg.
