Job Description Mariner is seeking a highly motivated recent grad for a full-time IT Talent Acquisition Specialist positionto support our growth in the Nova Scotia market. The primary responsibility for this role is IT talent acquisition, tracking, communication, and coordination of talent. You will also be exposed to many other aspects of the business including Sales and Services Delivery & Operations to facilitate the delivery of high-quality IT services to our clients. In this exciting role, you will establish a responsive relationship with the teams, help set and manage expectations, and coordinate with the services delivery team to achieve those expectations. Responsibilities: Strengthens relationships with hiring managers / sales team (build trust, inspire confidence, earn respect). Anticipates future talent and skill needs based on deep understanding of business strategy and direction. Proactively builds, nurture and engage talent communities. Knows their markets – both internal and external; where talent and skills are available, and, when sparse, where to find quality candidates. Knowledge and experience in the IT industry with an understanding of the diversification of technology roles within the organization and align skills to the right role. Supports Diversity and Inclusion and understands the positive impact it has on company culture and the businesses bottom line. Continuously looks to improve candidate, new hire, hiring manager and recruiter experience. Creates and manages job postings for the organization. Screens candidates, conducts soft skills interview, and coordinates technical interviews. Successfully negotiates all aspects of the hiring package (salary, benefits, dates, etc.). Completes reference checks and leads onboarding session for new hires. Attends networking events to promote Mariner and meet local talent. Assists in various sales & delivery/operations support activities as required. Qualifications Education: Post-Secondary Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience. Years of Experience: 2-5 years related experience in recruitment. Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent time management and prioritization skills allowing you to manage multiple applicants while anticipating shifts in priorities. Strong organizational skills demonstrating excellent attention to detail. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings with internal and external parties. Passionate about recruitment and proven success in identifying top talent. Knowledge of sales skills and the ability/willingness to persuade others. A keen eye for detail and demonstrating a high sense of urgency in delivering high quality customer service.
