The Role You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, generating new business opportunities, executing marketing campaigns, growing existing and new customer accounts in partnership with Field Sales and for closing business within assigned territories in Ontario. This role will use Salesforce to capture and update all call activity with existing contacts, leads, new opportunities and continuously build lead quality and pipeline. Main Responsibilities Independently and directly engage with customers in order to build and manage customer accounts and relationships and uncover new opportunities through gaining a solid understanding of their challenges, processes and business objectives Ensure sales growth to meet annual revenue and profit targets by using upselling and cross selling strategies and to help our customers get their employees home safely at the end of the day Must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales. Create a meaningful Lead Qualification experience through inbound and outbound activities Work effectively with Field Sales and Customer Service to ensure seamless execution of the sales cycle and ensure all quotes are received favorably Be proficient with daily use of Salesforce CRM to update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities, to manage customer account growth and have viable sales pipelines. Utilize Buyer Alert process to expand profitable business and work with Operations staff to minimize slow-moving dedicated customer inventory and avoid dead stock situations to improve overall net returns Writing and presenting proposals, bids and partnering agreements to position Levitt-Safety as a full-service solutions provider, and as the best choice against competitors Be a strong Face of Levitt-Safety through embodying our 35 Fundamentals in both internal and external customer interactions Be prepared to travel away from home in support of business, whether day trips or extended air travel as necessary for company meetings and industry events Participate occasionally in duties beyond the sales process (i.e.: mine rescue competitions, customer events, meetings, staff functions, deliver training, perform fit testing, trade shows, etc.) and other duties as assigned Role Requirements Minimum High School diploma plus additional sales skills or related education (or post-secondary diploma or degree). Previous Lead Generation, Inside Sales Representative, Sales experience, business/sales/marketing related education, or combination of both (preference to candidates with experience in the Fire/Safety industry or technical sales) A passion for sales and relationship building - You enjoy the “hunt” for information to create a profile of contacts and are resourceful in connecting with people using different methods & techniques. Enjoy working in a target driven environment; Ability to make numerous sales lead calls with the resilience to cope with challenges and objections. Comfortable using telephone, e-mail, web and social media to research and qualify sales leads. Prospect new leads by leveraging referrals from existing customers, inbound and outbound leads and cold calling. A self-starter and comfortable taking initiative. Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with good computer literacy. (Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Salesforce/CRM systems) Have a personable and enthusiastic phone manner and comfortable working in an open office environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. A positive nature and the ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team.
