The Opportunity : We are hiring a Control Systems Technologist to work in our growing control systems team. You will monitor our OT computer networks for security issues, install security software, and document any security issues or breaches you find. Key Accountabilities : Monitor computer networks for security issues, investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents and document security breaches and assess the damage they cause Install security measures and operate software to protect systems & information infrastructure, including firewalls & data encryption programs and work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities Oversee planning, development, testing and maintenance of technology systems. This includes providing assistance in deploying and configuring new hardware & software and facilitate training to employees that are required to use current and future technology systems Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management and fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard Develop and maintain reporting systems and databases for conducting site security reviews, write audit/review reports, review findings and make recommendations Stay current on IT/OT security trends and news and develop company-wide best practices for OT security Job location : Horizon Oilsands site, Fort McMurray, Alberta Shift Schedule : 4 x 3 (Monday to Thursday) This is a safety sensitive position Competitive salary, stock options, stock savings plan and benefits Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy Company Sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out and Accommodations Program with charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton Skills & Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field 5 years of experience working with security technology systems, with previous project management experience preferred Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, IDPS concepts and patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner Yellow/Green belt certification preferred Why Canadian Natural?
