Application Support/Workday Specialist (BB-7165D)

The Application Support/Workday Specialist, will be expected to provide strategic oversight of all functional implementations to the market ensuring that project milestones are met and that markets are equipped to drive the HCM program forward. They will oversee the implementation and deployment of Workday within their respective Market with a focus on providing technical expertise to market HR Team ensuring completion of deliverables to time and quality and a successful go live.

Key Activities

  • Project Management for assigned market and integration related sub-projects (such as Workday (HCM) implementation, data migrations, time and attendance implementation, Payroll related implementation)
  • Ensure project-related governance, communication, planning, progress tracking, reporting, action management, resource management, risk management, issue/escalations management, testing, documentation and vendor liaison where applicable
  • Provide the overall drum beat of the integration, connect and communicate the direction from PMO/leadership to the extended team, report on the progress of the local activities to the overall project leadership
  • Translate global implementation plans into local actions, considering end-to-end process perspective and local requirements, while keeping the global design as close as possible
  • Support effective communication of the integration activities across the local stakeholders – HR or outside Support Engagement and Adoption (change management) activities locally, including sponsor engagement, communication or training activities
  • Work with the key process owners and workstream leads to keep track of the people data impacts for market reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure that the workstreams are organized and handled in sync with the overall integration timelines e.g. user acceptance tests.
  • Relationship Management

  • Serve as the ‘communications broker’ ; responsible for ultimate transparency for senior stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and successfully gain strategic alignment across stakeholders on roadmap and delivery priorities.
  • Design an organizational engagement model to ensure there is effective stakeholder coverage.
  • Be viewed as a trusted partner and the 'go to' person (consultant/advisor) for business leadership.
  • Build and maintain an internal network of connections that cross organizational lines.
  • Qualifications:

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Sound global Project management skills and experience and IT- savviness
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
  • Facilitation and influencing skills with high degree of client orientation and service mind-set, cultural sensitivity
  • Proven experience of delivering successfully in a complex matrix management environment
  • Experience in working for automotive companies preferred, with blue and white-collar populations
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation skills)
  • Have availability for travel if necessary
  • Experience of system integration, vendor management on payroll or time is a plus.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the organization at all levels.
