Your demonstrated ability to recognize, report, communicate and document changes in resident behavior is essential to your success in this Monthly BSO Activity Program PlanningTrouble-shoot and problem solve with the BSO team relative to the situationKnows and follows the guidelines of care of assigned residents with minimal supervisionServes as a member of the BSO Integrated Care Team and works cooperatively with external partners of the BSO program including the exchange of education & ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONShepherd Village has received approval for specific funding under the provincial Behavioral Supports Ontario (BSO) Project. It focuses on providing quality care for individuals with various types of dementia, delirium, mental health, addictions, other neurological conditions and acute behavioral changes in an environment that is based on safety, high quality and evidence-based care and practice.The program is strictly focused on providing care and support to the resident at the time they are in crisis and demonstrating difficult behaviors, without sending them to the hospital.While there will be establish hours of work and shifts, you must be flexible to come in early, stay late, and change the shift or day you work in accordance with the resident needs.Identified applicants will be interviewed. Qualifications, experience, ability and seniority of the applicants will be considered. Where these factors are equal, the applicant with the greatest seniority shall fill the vacancy. If no internal applicants meet the criteria, Shepherd Village reserves the right to recruit from external sources.
