A search has begun, internal to the university, for a new Chair of the Department of Physics at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The initial appointment will be for five years to begin July 1, 2021 or soon thereafter, and may be renewed once.
The Physics department features; 20 research and teaching faculty, over 250 students in undergraduate programs, more than 55 students in graduate programs, award winning researchers and teaching excellence.
From the subatomic to the super-massive, the Department of Physics offers strong research and teaching programs at the Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral and Postdoctoral levels.
