Duration:Fixed Term Contract: May 2021 – November 2022

Note: Candidates must be available 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Department Description:

Engineering &Technical Services (ETS): Automation is the department that provides subject matter expertise for all projects that involve process control and/or building automation. The team also manages, executes and supports execution of the installation and verification of automated systems. The team works closely with all other site partners from IT to Manufacturing Technology (MTECH) to Quality Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical system owner for the automation systems in B100 including the process control system (PCS) and building management system (BMS)

  • User account management
  • Patch and application update management
  • System performance monitoring
  • System troubleshooting and resolution
  • Management of Physical and Virtual Machines
  • Management and Troubleshooting of interfaces to IT domain systems Firewall Network Time synchronization Antivirus Domain Active Directory SCCM & Software Updates
  • Disaster Recovery (backup and restore) of computerized control systems
  • Support for small software and system changes following established change management process
  • Platforms/Technologies:

  • Emerson DeltaV
  • Rockwell and Siemens PLCs & HMIs
  • Siemens Desigo CC
  • OSI PI
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Domain Systems
  • HyperV Virtualization
  • Education and Experience:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification in Engineering or Computer Science related field
  • Experience administrating computerized systems in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience administrating Microsoft Servers and Networks
  • Proficient in use of MS Office 2010, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administrating aforenoted platforms preferred however training will be provided.
  • Able to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desire to work within a team environment
  • Strong project management skills including organization, time management, and follow-up
