Position Summary The Administrative Assistant supports the AH&T team with multiple responsibilities, primary of which are managing the administrative tasks of the AH&T Claims team. The Administrative Assistant will be the main point of contact for AH&T Claims and will provide additional support to the AH&T leaderships. The day-to-day tasks are an integral part of the team’s success, requiring focus, diligence and accuracy. What will your typical day look like? Check email boxes for queries, questions and claims Answer departmental questions and distribute emails to correct individuals, tracking distribution for timely follow up Enter claims into Berkley’s claims systems Upload documents to file folders Prepare cheque requisitions and liaise with Finance for payments Manage mail requests, including registered letters Process administrative tasks for AH&T leadership Participate on other projects and assignments as requested Qualifications What Skills & Qualifications are we seeking? Superior attention to detail and a commitment to following up and closing all outstanding issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to multi-task effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines Diligent with keeping self and colleagues on task Self-motivated and eager to learn and succeed Professional composure in written and verbal communications Superior organizational and time management skills to manage and prioritize workload Background and literacy of the medical field as asset but not required Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel High integrity and standard of ethics, understanding sensitivity of confidential information Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Medical Field Connect With Us!
