Sr. System Design Engineer - 81422 THE ROLE: Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of system integration plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon integration teams to improve post-silicon test content and provide feedback for future debug and test features. THE PERSON: Highly motivated, innovative individual with a keen interest in finding and resolving silicon/platform issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and execute test procedures to validate the design of various GPU components and features. Translate GPU, CPU, chipset, graphics card, motherboard design specs to a robust system integration test plan. Make improvements to system level integration test strategy, methodology, and process. Collaboration with cross-functional HW and SW team to debug and solve complex issues. Develop and enhance automation features according to requirements. Work with IP designers to build knowledge of design internals within the system integration team. Willingness to demonstrate success in communicating plans, status, issues, concerns. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Post-silicon system integration experience preferred. Familiarity with pre-silicon environments (Verification, Emulation, Bring-Up). Debugging skills at SoC and System level. Experience with Computer Architecture concepts and silicon features. Ability to program in C, C++, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.). Computer enthusiasts and excellent knowledge of current leading PC technology. Effective communication skills working across large multi-functional HW, SW, architecture teams. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent.
