Role:

The Vendor Partnership & Product Marketing Lead is responsible for managing and delivering product marketing programs and campaigns to support sales growth by using Digital, Traditional and Field marketing & advertising channels. This role nurtures Vendor Partnerships in close collaboration with Merchandising and is responsible for the ongoing design, development and improvement of the Revolution Vendor Partnership program. This role builds custom vendor marketing plans and ensures alignment with all other Sysco Marketing and sales programs including. Also responsible for Sysco Brand packaging management. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with our Regional Marketing Managers, Merchandising, Sales, Finance and be part of the Canadian Field Sales & Marketing team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continually improve the Revolution Vendor Program and nurture relationships with all vendors to develop mutual growth strategies to gain market share.
  • Develop strategic marketing and advertising plans around key product growth opportunities, Sysco Brand and new product launches in partnership with Merchandising.
  • Maintain regular collaboration and communication cadences with Corporate & Regional Merchandising, Regional Marketing Managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in Sysco Brand development activities and product cuttings.
  • Provide merchandising and the field with relevant industry and product insights and data to guide Sysco Brand development and promotion of key product lines and categories.
  • Create Sysco Brand marketing materials in conjunction with product launches, including POS, Digital assets, posters, and other internal and external communication pieces to support effective field sales training and selling activity.
  • Support ongoing development and adoption of Vendor Partner Community in Salesforce.
  • Manage product specific marketing material on Sysco Kitchen.
  • Coordinate and execute internal and external conferences, tradeshows and other traditional vendor & product marketing activity.
  • Coordinate all marketing related material for GSM’s.
  • Manage Sysco Brand packaging projects in conjunction with Merchandising.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities related to Sysco Brand SUPC code setup.
  • Manage legal documents related to Sysco Brand suppliers.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5+) years in a marketing or sales role with project management experience.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or Sales.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Highly ambitious and learning agility.
  • Expertise in key areas of marketing and advertising including Digital, Traditional and Field.
  • Self-starter who can work strategically and tactically with little direction Excellent written and oral communication and project management.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel. Ability to learn new systems with ease.

  • Ability to build strategic relationships with teams, departments and organizations.
