We are dedicated to providing comprehensive and innovative outsourcing services that exceed the uncompromising demands of the global pharmaceutical industry.To package products into various formats ensuring adherence to safety, quality, GMP compliance, productivity and efficiency standards.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs assigned tasks to package products into various formats to meet GMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) reqirements and Regulatory Standards in regards to safety and quality of the products. Works in compliance with established GMP and safe work practices and procedures, focusing on “Safety First” approach, and using essential essential personal protective and safety equipment. Reports any accidents, incidents and injuries or illnesses immediately, and notifies Packaging Supervisor / CPL of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace. .Performs on-line inspections during packaging processes exercising “Right First Time” documentation practices, to ensurequality standards are met. Takes action to inform Packaging Supervisor when quality issues arise.Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Performs visual checks of equipment, machine guarding and materials before,during and after packaging runs to alert Packaging Supervisor of issues, bottlenecks and equipment breakdown. Exhibits strong mechanical aptitude by performing lot changes, fixing minor equipment issues and operating all packaging equipment within specifications.Summarizes and provides precise information to maintenance staff regarding equipment stoppages / breakdowns so that appropriate solutions can be offered. Supports team goals to meet KPI’s and daily schedules, optimize change over times and ensure adherence to labor standards.Assigned task related to changeover includes sweeping and moping the floors, wiping down/cleaning exterior and non-critical portions of equipment and packaging lines. Participates in Lean and CI projects. Assists in the implementation of CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiencies in packaging department. Transfers components, WIP materials and finished goods between various work areas using manual or semi -automated lifting devices. Other duties and tasks as assigned.Note:Candidate must have the flexibility for Continental shift (Bi-weekly Rotation) 6:00pm – 6:00am (Mon – Sun), or 3 shift operation.QUALIFICATIONS:Post-secondary education and 2-3 years of team centered high volume pharmaceutical packaging or regulated industry experience.Ability to qualify for AQPIC role is desirable. Attention to detail, thoroughness, strong mechanical aptitude and proven technical competency is highly desirable.Knowledge and proven compliance to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), HPFBI / FDA guidelines, SOP’s and safety practices.Demonstrated proficiency in use of packaging equipment and understanding of packaging processes as it relates to semi-solid dose, liquid and clinical packaging lines. Demonstrated technical skills, knowledge and experience to identify and recommend improvements to processes and equipment on packaging lines. .Ability to coach new hires on safe and efficient operations of packaging equipment.Demonstrated capability in computer skills along with familiarity with MS Office is desirable. Demonstrated good written and verbal English communication skills.Demonstrated competencies in CPL’s core values of Fairness, Trust, Respect and Integrity.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:Able to lift and move moderately heavy or awkward objects and skids. Long periods standing in one place, processing product on moving belts.Repetitive hip and upper body twisting movements.Frequent lifting and lowering product cases between floor and chest levels.Exposure to noise levels that require hearing protection.
