We are looking for a Circular Economy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Dillon’s emerging circular economy services to both public and private sector clients within a variety of disciplines. This exciting role includes delivering projects that provide strategic advice and guidance on programs and policies that will accelerate the development of a circular economy in Canada. Entrepreneurial in nature with a strong business acumen, the successful candidate will lead business development activities related to Dillon’s circular economy service offerings. The nature of the role is dynamic and the scope of responsibilities may change from time to time to support evolving business needs. Responsibilities What your day may look likeProject work Leadership of and contribution to project teams providing expertise based on evidence, insight and analysis in the development of detailed and innovative plans, programs and policies focused on implementing the principles of circular economyAbility to work with a variety of technical experts from different business units, to provide innovative solutions through a circular lensBusiness Development Leadership in the development and enhancement of relationships with new and existing public and private sector clients to promote Dillon’s services related to circular economy including the preparation of proposals and client presentationsContribution to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committeesProfessional Development Leadership in the development of Dillon staff and the relevant knowledge and understanding of the principles of circular economy and the emerging service offerings for public and private sector clientsSelf-development and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Qualifications What you will need to succeedEducationBachelor’s degree in engineering, planning or a sustainability focused program Experience Advanced knowledge of circular economy principles and strategiesProficiency in lifecycle assessments and/or material flow modelingUnderstanding of systems thinking, supply chaining and production methodsStrong applied research capabilitiesProven project management experienceExcellent strategic, conceptual and analytical skills in delivering innovative solutions to projectsHighly developed interpersonal and/or public relations skills including the ability to develop relationships and partnerships with a variety of stakeholdersAstute critical thinking and judgement in public relations, including the ability to resolve conflict, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders, clients and the publicExcellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to write concise technical reportsWhy choose Dillon?Dillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
