Description:AMECO - Buyer & Coordinator – Construction Kitimat British Columbia Canada Job Description AMECO is currently seeking a Buyer & Coordinator – Construction on the LNG-C project in Kitimat, BC for a 5/2 schedule. The positions will begin as contractor status with future consideration for full-time salaried status for a local resident. Reporting to the Project Site Manager, the successful individuals will be responsible for material planning, purchasing, expediting and logistics with strong skills in administration, planning and computer abilities.Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:• Perform purchasing activities of equipment, tools and consumables• Perform administrative duties• Issue weekly/monthly reports to project sites and management • Update data in material management programs • Manage suppliers and sub-suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are maintained • Coordinate with project sites to address overages, shortages, damages deficiencies and other material related issues as they arise • Monitor and report Supplier's performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Purchase Order • Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports • Identify and qualify potential bidders for purchases and contracts • Perform data entry proficiently • Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards • Other duties as assigned To be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
