Job Summary HOOPP’s IT4P is an infrastructure focused team. We are looking for an Azure Infrastructure Engineer with solid knowledge, to supplement the team in supporting our IT infrastructure. This will include automated, auditable configurations and reports from these systems. The role will help the team on their continuous improvement journey, striving for technical excellence, and playing a role in facilitating the improvement of team velocity. We are looking for a highly motivated team member who can take ownership beyond their existing comfort zone and domain of expertise. The ideal candidate will join an existing Agile cross-functional team responsible for: Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Identity/Access Management and Core Services such as backups and monitoring. Why you’ll love working here: Open concept office designed to facilitate communication and collaboration Business casual dress code World class Defined Benefit pension 100% company paid Extended Health and Dental benefits Annual wellness program for reimbursement of health & wellness related expenses You’re making an impact and helping to deliver on our Pension Promise What you will do: Manage, maintain and support the current pension PSG infrastructure which is in Azure IaaS Manage and apply Security best practices to the Cloud environment Regularly evaluate Cloud applications and designs Adopting the next tier PaaS & SaaS Participate in team solutioning, communication, collaboration and help support and sustain team-level continuous improvements and team health efforts, using Agile techniques and metrics Work closely with internal business partners to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, manage technical operations, triage and fix operational issues Work with internal HOOPP architecture, infrastructure, governance, and security teams to ensure that all security, governance and business continuity requirements are integrated and achieve. Continuously improve the triage and escalation process for system availability Developing and maintaining documentation for multiple environments Identify repetitive tasks and build tools for automation Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current technology trends and best practices Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner Manage and coordinate support incidents with external vendors Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts Adopt and maintain automation tools to support the Azure environment You will be required occasionally to perform business responsibilities outside of the official working window and suitable compensation will be available QualificationsWho you are:Must have5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations with a minimum of 2 years of experience in AzureHands-on experience with Azure VMs, virtual networks and subnets, Application Gateways, Load balancers, Storage accounts, NSGs, Route TablesMicrosoft Windows OS and related server products hands on experienceSome development/automation experience including Installation, deployment and update of enterprise systemsScripting and coding skills (one or more of the following) – PowerShell, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Git, Azure AutomationAbility to demonstrate solid troubleshooting skills and problem solvingWillingness to adopt Agile/Lean methodology such as Scrum, Kanban, MVP etc.Understanding of key technological concepts such as Cloud technologies, applications, network infrastructure, and securityBachelor’s Degree in computer science and/or relevant experienceNice to haveRelevant Infrastructure certifications such as, but not limited to:Azure AdministrationMicrosoft Azure Security EngineerCertified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
