POSITION OVERVIEW: With a new acquisition of a company and is progress of migrating the employees to our firm’s systems. We are currently seeking an Office Migration Specialist to coordinate user testing, software profile mapping, document, classify and develop migration plans to move 150+ desktop and virtual applications. The applications are across Windows, MAC and Linux operating systems. The applications are a mix of desktop installed and cloud delivered. The candidate will join an existing Application Integration team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (Not Limited to:) • Interview clients and vendors on the business and technical function of the application • Coordinate and perform application testing • Cataloging and reporting progress of application readiness • Documenting procedures for application request, support and escalation • Working with the company’s infrastructure and risk teams to document user, process and technical guides • Liaising with acquired company’s software team to understand the software footprint and population • Liaising with the firms’s finance and IT teams to ensure software is properly onboarded and licensed PREFERED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: • 3-5 years of experience in Window administration and desktop applications • Strong troubleshooting mindset • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Coordinate the testing of applications and development of reporting status• Experienced in testing of desktop and web applications • Experience managing system and user configuration across large, distributed environment • Ability to write technical and operational management documentation • Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with external customers and co-workers Self-motivated, a quick learner and able to work with little supervision
