The Remediation Technicianis responsible for the day to day execution of work orders related to hazardous material abatement focusing on quality, cost control and consistency compliant with corporate and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Review hazardous material assessmentsEnsure compliance with company and regulatory process and protocolsReview forecasted timeframes, equipment and supplies to complete projects consistent with budget and work order/scopeExecute timely completion of assigned work ordersManage company assets consistent with business procedures and reportingMaintain effective and timely communications with all internal/external stakeholders to achieve project deliverablesComplete all necessary documentation required for invoicingManage and maintains company assets consistent with business image and expectationsSustain a Health & Safety environment focused on prevention of accident / incidentAction personal performance and appearance consistent with company policies and proceduresProvide on call support when necessaryProvide direction or support in other areas as requested/required Qualification and Requirements: High school diploma or equivalentValid Class 5 driver’s licenseThe Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) preferredOccupational first aid level 1Asbestos and/or Lead; moderate and high risk abatementMould level 1, 2, 3 and 4 remediation2-3 years of relevant experienceUnderstanding of restoration businessKnowledge in hazardous materials abatementBasic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Skills and competences: Ability to transform information into actionStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong problem-solving skillsAttention to detailAbility to work well under pressure and multi-taskAbility to work well independently as well as in a team environmentSelf-starter with efficient time managementStrong interpersonal skillsHighly organized individual and great team playerStrong problem solving/communication skillsStrong customer orientationDemonstrates corporate citizenship and social responsibilityDemonstrates support for innovation and organizational change
