Director of Operations and Data Management Alumni and Donor Network Cornerstone of the Vice-Rectorate for Relations with Alumni and Philanthropy, the Alumni and Donors Network has the mandate to develop a network of mobilized graduates and a sustainable philanthropic culture within the community in order to support the influence of the University of Montreal. On a day-to-day basis, its members develop and implement strategies aimed at strengthening the feeling of belonging to the University, exercise an advisory role in matters of philanthropic taxation and steer files promoting the achievement of the University's objectives by relationship with graduates. Description of mandate As director or director of operations and management data, you use your mobilizing leadership, your interpersonal and communication skills as well as your strategic skills to support the 35 members of your team in carrying out their work and their development, and establishing partnerships and collaborations both at internal and external. In close collaboration with the Vice-President, Alumni Relations and Philanthropy, to whom you report, you ensure the management and optimization of the research, marketing, finance and IT sectors of your unit, and support the activities of philanthropic development, relations with graduates and Belles Soirées which constitute the three other directorates of the Network which report to the vice-rectorate. Main challenges Develop directions, objectives, priorities, strategies and action plans for operations and information management and ensure the adequacy between customer needs and the range of services offered Rethink the service delivery model of your sectors, in particular by emphasizing the concept of service to customers Develop and implement new management processes as well as performance indicators that will allow their effectiveness to be measured Analyze the needs of the clientele of the Alumni Network and donors in order to put in place effective strategies of attraction and retention Negotiate and sign agreements to obtain contracts in order to ensure optimal management of the services offered Guide and evaluate the work of the members of your team according to the determined objectives and mandates entrusted Act as an advisor to the vice-rector in order to guide decisions in all sectors of the Network: organizational development, evolution of performance management systems, choice of information technology applications, talent acquisition and training needs In collaboration with the three other directorates of the Network: Administer the budget of e unit and prepare budget forecasts Plan: labor needs work by building a workforce plan assignments and physical adjustments Profile sought What you need to be successful in this role A bachelor's degree in business administration or in a relevant field Aminimum of 9 years of managerial experience in higher education or related field Good knowledge of philanthropy Strong analytical, planning, communication, collaboration skills and a great ability to work in a team Easy to popularize complex concepts A great capacity for influence and an ease in developing internal and external partnerships Excellent judgment and great ability identify your environment and the factors that influence it Experience in negotiation and business relations in a unionized environment Be recognized for your integrity and fairness, both in your management practices and in your relationships with your partners Great ease with technological tools Some assets A master's degree in business administration or in a relevant field Hold an accounting designation (CPA) Information on employment Posting period: At 17 March 2021 inclusively Salary range: Executive B (C5) - from $ 99,500 to $ 134,000 Our offer Diverse and interesting career outlook Comprehensive benefits program and pension plan Advantageous annual vacation policy Easy access by public transport
