Description:Description:BBA is currently seeking an Senior Water Treatment Engineer to join our team in Montréal. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and working on new water treatment business opportunities.This individual will support operations and play a key role in a wide variety of projects such as water treatment of mine sites and industrial process water treatment.Key responsibilities§Identify and develop new water treatment business opportunities in mining and industrial sectors.§Maintain a strong network of contacts, be agile and active to find new business opportunities in water treatment. §Provide technical expertise as well as support by providing direction and mentorship on complex water treatment issues.§Provide technical input, in area of expertise, to multi-disciplinary work scopes.§Coordinate with project management teams and other discipline leads to manage project deliverables (for studies, design phases, execution and commissioning), ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.§Collaborate with other departments, environmental regulators and BBA offices on project-related work.Skills§Business acumen and a drive for business development§Client-oriented§Ability to work in a multidisciplinary project environment§Team player§Strong communication and interpersonal skills§Ability to adapt§Creative and innovate in providing solutionsRequirements:§Must have a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree or Ph.D is an asset) in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering.§Must be fluent in spoken and written French; bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.§With 10-15 years of relevant experience (industrial, municipal, mining an asset)§Must be proficient in analytical and modelling techniques to develop mass and energy balance, PFD and P&ID.§Be familiar and understand all stages of mine development and operation and be knowledgeable of some metallurgical and industrial processes.§Must be experienced and can demonstrate successful writing of proposals and work plans§Previous consulting experience is essential.§Currently registered (or is eligible) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) §Able to travel to mine or project sites as needed§Asset: Experience with the following software (or equivalent): Aspen HYSYS, OLI electrolyte, Hydranautics and AutoCAD.BBA is committed to promoting diversity and employment equity.
