L3 Technologies MAS, located in Mirabel (QC), is a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, Inc.As Mechanical Methods Agent at L3 MAS you will:Reporting to the Methods Supervisor, the Mechanical Methods agent must prepare work instructions for disassembling, reassembling and testing flight components and system components (hydraulic, fuel, etc.). He/She must consult the technical manuals of the aircraft; provide technical support to the pre-flight technicians in order to support the schedule of arrival and departure of planes.The methods agent is a technical specialist in the Mechanical field, he / she is distinguished by his/her knowledge of the assembly and operation of mechanical components linked to the main aircraft systems such as the hydraulic, fuel, ventilation, etc.To achieve this, you will be called upon to:Produce work instructions for technicians to guide them in disassembly, reassembly and component testing tasks;Define, from engineering requirements, the work to be done on the devices and the functional tests that will be required;Read and interpret technical drawings and standard repair manuals;Create and maintain the list of parts (manufacturer BOM);Respond to production support requests (clarifying, corrective and preventive measures) and participate in the resolution of technical problems in collaboration with other departments;Support the estimation and submission process (estimation according to monthly forecasts, validation of times to production cards);Participate in the development of project schedules;Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or production improvements by working closely with engineering, planning and production;Actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree (BAC) in mechanics, aeronautics, aeronautical manufacturing, avionics or equivalent. Equivalent experience can also be considered; Five to seven (5 to 7) years of experience in a similar or related position; Experience as a pre-flight technician in aeronautics, required; Knowledge of SAP software; Experience on the CF-18, an asset; General ease of using computer software, a major asset. Operational requirements : Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program; Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance; Location not accessible via public transportation, car required.
