Description:

AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Geologist for immediate employment to fill a telecommute position that would support an oil and gas program located primarily in Pennsylvania and the Eastern United States. Although the position will primarily be a telecommute position, it may require some occasional travel for group and project related meetings. This position will integrate into a team of environmental engineers, scientists and field technicians to provide leadership to junior level field staff on an established program. The work requires technical knowledge of the areas of site investigation, remediation techniques, reclamation, oil and gas projects and contaminated site regulations. Makes recommendations on work methods and procedures and technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in own discipline. Utilizes advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies when working on unusually complex technical problems. Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Develops solutions which are highly innovative. Assignments are often self-initiated. Acts as advisor to management and clients. Oversees the work of less experienced scientists.
