Our government client is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor.

Duties

An Intermediate Internal Auditor to work on internal audits in the examination phase of a contracting audit. This Internal Auditor will review contract files as part of the examination phase of this audit and report on their level of completeness based on pre-­established audit programs

Qualifications

Education:

The resume of the proposed individual must demonstrate graduation with a degree from a recognized university and working towards a professional accounting and/or auditing accreditation (ex, CA, CMA, CGA, CIA, CGAP). Security: The proposed individual must hold a valid government security clearance at the Secret level, Experience:

To be considered responsive, a resume must clearly demonstrate where, when and how the stated qualifications/experience were acquired. Resumes not meeting the mandatory qualifications will be given no further consideration.

Mandatory Qualifications:

5 years of recent experience (within the past 10 years) performing internal audits in federal government organizations, applying Treasury Board and IIA standards.

Asset Qualifications: Work experience in PWGSC (within the past 5 years); and • Recent experience in reviewing contract files,

Tasks - Deliverables

Review and assess file documents;

Conduct the audit, as part of the audit team and document the audit plans and results according to current Treasury Board Secretariat Audit Guidelines; and

Report progress against pre-established target dates.
